Setup a SageStream Security Credit Freeze
Brad Baker
What is SageStream? It is the new credit reporting player similar to FICO scores that lenders are beginning to look at to determine the eligibility of a loan application. From their website:
SageStream, LLC is a consumer reporting agency that is regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. SageStream provides consumer reports and credit scores to different types of companies including credit card issuers, retailers, and wireless telephone service providers.
FICO scores have been around for years and run off a standard scale of 300 to 850 with 850 being the best for credit approval. There is a pretty clear method on which activities affect your FICO score. SageStream, on the other hand, has been pretty secretive on how exactly they calculate your score. Their scale runs from 001 to 999.
Many consumers have reported that they are being denied for loans due to a low SageStream score even though they have higher FICO scores. You can request your SageStream score here. Also, you can opt-out of receiving any unsolicited credit and insurance offers here. Once you have received your score, be sure to implement a security freeze here. This can help protect your personal information and prevent unauthorized access to your credit profile. Additionally, it’s a good idea to regularly monitor your credit to ensure there are no errors or suspicious activity affecting your scores. You can also get free credit report access annually from the major credit bureaus to stay informed about your overall credit health.
