Tresorit for encrypted storage and file sharing

Tresorit offers zero-knowledge encrypted cloud storage for personal and business use. They have a wide range of plans to choose from. Zero-Knowledge means that your files and data are encrypted so that only you can see that data. Tresorit cannot see what files or information you are storing since everything is encrypted. It appears as just a text file with a bunch of gibberish to them without the encryption key. Other services may claim they offer encrypted storage but oftentimes they simply encrypt the data as it is sent from user to server. Once it is on the server the files can be accessed by the company. The companies can then access the files stored, scan them and analyze them for useful marketing data then sell them to third parties. Government agencies can subpoena them for access to your files as well in which they are obligated to hand over. Zero-knowledge services such as Tresorit can still be subpoenaed but they don’t have anything readable or viewable to turn over. Everything that can be accessed looks like a bunch of gibberish due to the encryption.

Tresorit also offers a free file transfer service that allows you to send up to 5GB files with end-to-end encryption. This is helpful for large files that cannot be emailed or file that you need to send with end-to-end encryption.
